So, what exactly is an armoire? Well, there are different kinds and apart from the jewelry armoire, the writing armoire is most popular. An armoire is a kind of chest, usually on legs, and a jewelry armoire has drawers to store jewelry in.  This style of furniture goes right back to the French Renaissance period but a modern style white jewelry armoire is available. So, a jewelry armoire is a chest for the safe storage of jewelry.  It offers you a bigger means of storing your earrings, bracelets, rings, and other valuables than jewelry boxes or a jewelry cabinet.

A white armoire for jewelry can be made in a number of different styles and designs, with one of the most notable being the antique white jewelry armoire. Apart from the traditional shape and design, you may be able to find both a white wall mounted jewelry armoire and Asian designs and you can even buy a white jewelry armoire with a mirrored front.

The Gwendolyn white jewelry armoire is a locking unit. It has six drawers with a lift up lid which has a mirror inside. All drawers can be locked and there are ring rolls inside the top to keep your rings safe and stop them getting scratched. Two of the drawers are divided into section and the other four are open inside.  At the sides are two doors which open to reveal necklace hooks inside each of them. There is a plush looking lining in this section too, which matches the gold colored drawer handles. Everything is hand lined in a gorgeous light plum color. This would cost in the region of $350 but there are bargains to be found.

If you do not want to spend that much on your white jewelry armoire, take a look at the Alexis, slim line model, which has a scalloped lid with a mirror fitted inside it. Lifting the lid reveals three sections and some ring rolls. There are four drawers and two have dividers inside them while two are completely open. There is scalloped detail at the bottom to match that on the lid. The hardware used for the drawer handles is charcoal colored metal and the whole unit is tastefully lined with tan suede fabric. The legs are cabriolet style. The whole unit stands at thirty seven and a quarter inches tall, thirteen and one eight wide and ten and five eights deep. This unit has a slightly more masculine feel and look to it so it would be useful if you wanted to share it his and hers style for your jewelry.

A white jewelry armoire similar to this costs somewhere around $195. If you search around you might find a comparable one for considerably less and the internet is an excellent place to start your search.
